Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. visits Cecil. H Parker School on first day
The New Rochelle-White Plains Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. cheered and greeted the scholars of Cecil H. Parker School as they entered the school building on the first day of school, Thursday, September 7, 2023. The gentleman gifted every student with a bag of school supplies, clapped as they walked into the building with their teachers and shook their hands.
"It was great for our scholars to see all of these men cheering them and wishing them a great school year!" said Jacqueline Green, principal at Cecil H. Parker School.

Cecil H. Parker School held its Honor Roll breakfast on Friday, June 16, 2023. Seventy-five students from grades two through eight achieved high enough grades to be on the Honor Roll. Parents joined to enjoy breakfast with their children and celebrate their accomplishments.
Eighth graders happily received their diplomas as they walked across the stage after completing eighth grade. Cecil H. Parker School held its Eight Grade Graduation on Friday, June 16, 2023. Graduating students were celebrated for their accomplishments as they move on to high school.
Cecil H. Parker School held its sixth annual “Your Future is Bright” college and career day on Friday, May 26, 2023. Professionals from every background visited the school to discuss their careers and show students the wide array of options available to them.
Students lined up on stage for a competition of the minds at the annual PTA Cecil H. Parker Spelling Bee. The spelling bee was held on Friday, May 19, 2023. Chibuikem Okwudili, third-grade student, won the third-grade spelling bee on the words “pronounce” and “encyclopedia.” Justin Montaleza placed second, and Leshay McBryde placed third.
In commemoration of Earth Day, the first graders learned about Earth Day by watching videos and reading various books.
In preparation for the New York State Math exam, Julia Gomes, second-grade teacher, organized a school-wide pep rally on Monday, May 1, 2023. All scholars from the lower grades made signs of encouragement for third through eighth graders and lined the main hallway to cheer them on at dismissal.
Cecil H. Parker School's PTA and Family and Community Engagement Committee (F.A.C.E.) held a Spring Photo Fundraiser on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Scholars were able to take photos with the Easter Bunny, with a fun spring backdrop, or both. In total, over $500 was raised for the school.
